Principles is a book written by Ray Dalio. He is a successful investor who found Bridgewater. After he is being successful, he would like to help others to achieve successfulness. Hence, he published his book, Principles.
The story of Ray Dalio is mainly in US, around 1950’s to 2010’s. He has a strong background in finance industry and was being successful in his early life but because of a life crash, we went broke. However, this life crash was also a life change for him. He noticed that there is a big lesson for him to learn, in order to, enrich his own principles to guide himself to be successful in a solid and systemic way.
The book is presented in 3 parts. Part 1 is about the story of Ray Dalio. Then, Part 2 is about life principles and Part 3 is about work principles. Part 2 and Part 3 are well structured in a way that lists out the title of the principle and following with explanation. And then, sub-principle and sub-sub-principles if there are any. The principles are covering quite a lot of different aspect in life and work, such as information gathering and filtering, planning, decision making and looking for talented persons.
The book is classified as Mindset & Self Development in my blog.

This book is a very interesting, informative and well structured book.
It consists of 3 main parts:
